Summer Volunteer Programs
Are you a student that is…
- Are in Grade 10 or older
- Interested in developing leadership skills
- Enjoys working with kids ages JK to Grade 8
- An interest in STEAM and/or outdoor activities is an asset
Join our one-month summer volunteer program to develop your leadership skills and make a difference in your community! During this program, you will work in a summer day camp environment and work closely with counsellors and instructors in leading a group of campers through fun programs and activities.
Through this program, volunteers will develop and hone their skills in leadership, problem solving, teamwork, communication, and conflict resolution. By the end of the program, you’ll be equipped with the skills and experience needed to take on leadership roles in any setting.
Locations
There are four camp locations that you can be placed across Richmond Hill & Markham in Ontario:
- Richmond Hill Curling Club (121 Elgin Mills East, Richmond Hill, ON L4C 3A8)
- Richland Academy (11570 Yonge St. Richmond Hill, ON L4E 3N7)
- Fletcher’s Fields (2743 19th Ave. Markham, ON, L6C 1L7)
- The STEAM Project Makerspace (1-561 Edward Ave. Richmond Hill, ON, L4C 9W6)
- Century Private School (11181 Yonge St, Richmond Hill, ON L4S 1L2)
- Holy Trinity School (11300 Bayview Ave, Richmond Hill, ON L4S 1L4)
Program Dates
The summer volunteer program is offered in July and August of 2025. For both programs, it is mandatory to attend the training dates that take place in June 2025. Volunteers may choose to volunteer for one month only, or for both months if they wish.

Volunteer Program Dates:
– June 30 – July 25, 2025 @ 9:00AM – 4:00PM
– July 28 – August 22, 2025 @ 9:00AM – 4:00PM
